If you are planning on graduating the next semesters, here are a few things you need to consider:

  • Students must submit their application for graduation through myUCF in the Student Center section. To access this section, login to myUCF, select Student Self Service, Student Center, and then select Intent to Graduate: Apply in the drop down box under Academics
  • Must have 15 hours of 6000 level courses in MS Programs of Study.
  • Overall GPA in Program of Study must be at least 3.0.
  • No more than two Cs in your final Program of Study.
  • No courses can be older than 7 years at the time of graduation.
  • No more than 9 hours of post-baccalaureate or transfer courses can be used.
  • Must be registered for term of graduation.
  • Must clear all "I"s, "D"s, "F"s, and transfer courses.

Program of Study Be sure to complete your program of study during the first semester of your graduate program. If you have not done it yet, or would like to change it, or have any questions about it, please talk to our Graduate Coordinator. Your Program of Study is your contract with the University, specifying your degree requirements. It is very important to have your program of study as soon as possible to assure that you are meeting all your requirements. An approved copy needs to be on file. Local Address, Phone Number and e-mail It is important to notify Graduate Records and the IEMS Department of any changes in addresses, phone numbers and email addresses in the event that we need to get in touch with you. Ph.D. Application If you are planning to pursue a doctoral degree after you finish your Masters, you will need to fill in an application for the Ph.D. program. Please, refer to the graduate catalog for deadlines. Certificate Program If you are interested in a Certificate program please submit an application and notify the IEMS Department. Students must submit a completion form before the end of the last or fourth course of the program to obtain a certificate. The form is available on the UCF website. Certificate programs can be used as a way to round out a graduate degree program, providing a special emphasis in addition to the graduate degree. It can provide more depth and understanding to enhance a graduate program. The following Certificate Programs are available in the IEMS department:

  • Applied Operations Research
  • Project Engineering
  • Quality Assurance
  • Training Simulation
  • International Students

When a new international student arrives at UCF, they should directly go to International Student Services Center on campus. Students should bring all their original inmigration documents with them, including passport, Visa, I-20 or IAP-66, and I-94 card. GRE-Test To get all official info about the GRE you only need to go to one website, www.gre.org. There you can find official information on GRE test, test center locations, services for schools, publications, interpretive data, and much more. GRE tests can be taken at Sylvan Learning Centers, 1-800-GRE-CALL Orientation Newly admitted graduate students are advised to attend orientation. Valuable information regarding the program is presented by Graduate Program Coordinator. International students are reminded to report their local address to the department and to graduate records once they come on board. Thesis/Dissertation Defense master thesis and PhD students must post their Defense Announcement no later than two weeks prior to their defense date.To post a defense announcement, please click here. Students are also responsible for room reservations. Reservations for rooms are done through the department. On the website http://graduate.ucf.edu, students and faculty can find deadlines for the current academic year as well as additional information for thesis/dissertation students. Faculty and staff can also view the Thesis/Dissertation Manual at this address.
