Peter Hancock is an internationally recognized human factors engineer, author of literally hundreds of papers and is one of the most prolific authors of technical papers in his field, including simulation, workload, highway and aviation safety analysis, vision and visual search, adaptive automation, ergonomics, and neuroscience. He has authored, coauthored, or coedited 21 books and is a widely sought-after speaker for technical conferences. His best known work has been in human stress as it related to engineered systems, but he is also recognized for the philosophical insights be brings to science and engineering.
