The Spring 2014 semester had ten Senior Design teams working on real world industrial engineering projects for industry partners, such as Siemens, Publix, Florida Hospital, and Northrop Grumman. Each team consisted of approximately six students and this semester College of Business students worked hand-in-hand with Industrial Engineering students to solve a variety of project deliverables for the first time.

The Brunswick Corporation project is just one example of a great success this semester. The project came from an IEMS alumnus, Erik Bon Fleur, Continuous Improvement Leader for Boston Whaler a division of Brunswick Corporation. After satisfying all requirements for redesigning the processing flows of multiple boat model construction at the Edgewater Plant, Erik treated the team to a private boat ride on one of their $250,000 products! Pictured is Erik Bon Fleur with the Brunswick senior design team Ryan Smith, Rainey Booker, Ashley Miller, Ryan Cwick , and Zach Stites.
